REST, REPS & REFRESHMENT. Let’s discover why.
Rest:
This is the easiest part of this R’s but unfortunately the most misunderstood. Furthermore, it is most misunderstood by the young and amateurs who want to work out as hard as humanly possible within a week.
This is not saying that working hard isn’t good or even necessary, but work without rest is definitely not the best. You face the risk of destroying your joints, amassing stress, and injuries that could take more than a year to heal!
How do you avoid them? Rest!
Reps:
This is more obvious and followed by more. You should know that you can’t just keep performing the same exercises over and over again and expect to make progress.
You need a well laid out and properly-designed workout program that includes progressive overload because if you are not stressing your body, it won’t adapt and improve. It’s that simple.
Refreshment:
This is the nice part. The part where you avoid junk and keep fit with healthy and proper foods. Yes, it is tempting to eat a pizza and burger every now and then but in the long run, these foods will kill your fitness level.
However, a healthier meal that focuses on supplying a balanced diet and the proper amount of calories is the right type of refreshment.
